Admission to higher education institutions in the Republic of Azerbaijan is carried out by the State Examination Center (SEC).
Applicants who have successfully passed the exams must upload the required documents to portal.edu.az and kabinet.unec.edu.az. After receiving confirmation from both portals, the applicant becomes a student.
Individuals who have obtained a state-recognized certificate of completion of full secondary education, secondary specialized education, or higher education are eligible to apply to higher education institutions.
Students currently enrolled in higher or secondary specialized education institutions (except those in their graduating year) are not eligible to participate in the admission competition for higher education institutions.
The maximum score an applicant can obtain in the first stage of the admission examination is 300 points in total, with a maximum of 100 points per subject.
At UNEC, instruction is delivered in four languages: Azerbaijani, English, Russian, and Turkish.
