Within the framework of its international cooperation activities, the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) has implemented another significant initiative.
An intensive training program specifically designed for secondary school teachers from the Republic of Uzbekistan was successfully organized. The primary objective of the program was to introduce participants to the Digital UNEC model, contemporary teaching methodologies, and innovative pedagogical approaches.
On the first day of the program, a delegation of 26 participants visited UNEC, where they became closely acquainted with the university’s infrastructure, digital ecosystem, and academic environment. This was followed by an orientation and networking session, during which comprehensive presentations were delivered on Digital UNEC’s international achievements, educational advantages, competence-based approaches, and the opportunities created for international students.
The five-day intensive program included a series of training sessions conducted by Sanubar Safiyeva, Head of UNEC’s Teaching and Learning Excellence Unit, along with the Unit’s staff. The sessions covered a wide range of topics, including modern teaching methods, international educational practices, the use of digital tools, integration of artificial intelligence into the teaching process, active learning models, teacher leadership, and classroom management. The program was further enriched through interactive discussions, case analyses, practical assignments, and group work. Participants also benefited from extensive networking opportunities.
On the final day of the program, UNEC Rector, Professor Adalat Muradov, met with the Uzbek teachers and provided information on the university’s international cooperation strategy. The Rector emphasized that sharing UNEC’s advanced pedagogical practices makes a valuable contribution to the professional development of educators in the region and noted that such initiatives play an important role in strengthening educational partnerships.
The participating teachers from Uzbekistan highly appreciated the training program organized at UNEC and expressed their gratitude to the university administration for the attention and professional support provided.
At the conclusion of the program, certificates were awarded to all participants on behalf of UNEC.
