Faculty of Economics of the Turkic World

About the Faculty

The Faculty of the Turkic World of Economics (TUDIFAK) was established in 1992 in Baku within the Azerbaijan Institute of National Economy Management by the Chairman of the Turkic World Research Foundation, Prof. Dr. Turan Yazgan.

Since 2001, by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the faculty has operated under the Azerbaijan State University of Economics (UNEC) as the Faculty of the Turkic World of Economics. Instruction at the faculty is delivered in Turkish (Turkey Turkish).

The faculty’s programs are officially recognized as equivalent in the Republic of Turkiye, providing students with broad opportunities for academic mobility, further studies in Turkiye, and academic career development.

The primary mission of the faculty is to train highly qualified specialists in accordance with international standards across its academic disciplines. The use of Turkish as the language of instruction also facilitates the participation of scholars from Turkiye in the teaching process.

Upon completion of their four-year bachelor’s education, TUDIFAK students receive, alongside their diploma, a “Graduation Certificate” issued in Turkish and signed by both the Dean of the Faculty and the Rector of UNEC on behalf of the Turkic World Research Foundation.

Admission for Azerbaijani citizens is conducted through the entrance examinations administered by the State Examination Center (DİM). Citizens of the Republic of Turkiye may apply upon recommendation of the Turkic World Research Foundation, provided they hold a secondary school diploma.
