Shaig Ahad Asgarov graduated successfully from Baku State University with a degree in Journalism in 1992; from the Azerbaijan State University of Economics in 1997 with a specialization in “Organization and State Regulation of Foreign Economic Relations”; and in 2002 from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a degree in “State and Municipal Administration.”
By the assignment of the Ministry of Education, he successfully completed the Academic Course on Strategic Studies and State Defense Management at the Military Academy of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In 2007, he defended his PhD dissertation on “Marketing Research of the Advertising Market in Electronic Media and Directions for Its Improvement” and, by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission dated July 10, 2007 (No. 24-k), was awarded the degree of Candidate of Economic Sciences. By the decision dated April 9, 2013 (No. 10-k), he was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor.

He has been engaged in scientific research and pedagogical activities at the Azerbaijan State University of Economics, holding positions as lecturer, senior lecturer, and associate professor.
From 2001 to 2006, he served as Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at UNEC.
From 2006 to 2015, he was Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union.
Since 2007, he has been a member of the Board of the Republican Education Council. In September 2015, he was appointed Vice-Rector for Administrative and Organizational Affairs at UNEC.
From 2001 to 2006, he served as Vice-Rector for Student Affairs at UNEC.
From 2006 to 2015, he was Deputy Chairman of the Republican Committee of the Azerbaijan Education Workers Free Trade Union.
Since 2007, he has been a member of the Board of the Republican Education Council. In September 2015, he was appointed Vice-Rector for Administrative and Organizational Affairs at UNEC.
He is the author of 16 scientific works related to his dissertation topic, including 14 articles, 1 textbook (1 chapter), and 1 methodological guide.
During his career, he has been awarded the “Azerbaijan Flag” diploma and the “Nurlu Galam Ustasi” award for his contributions to the promotion of economic knowledge and services in social and public spheres, as well as personal creative achievements. He has also been awarded Honorary Diplomas from the Ministry of Education and the Azerbaijan Trade Unions Confederation, and the badge “Advanced Education Worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan.”
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 4, 2013, he was awarded the “Taraggi” medal.
By the Presidential Decree dated September 24, 2020, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the Azerbaijan State University of Economics and for his contributions to the development of education in Azerbaijan, he was awarded the 3rd degree “Emek” Order.
By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated February 4, 2013, he was awarded the “Taraggi” medal.
